Jericho House

Jericho House is a 16 bed residential rehabilitation unit in Bank Street, Greenock for males with a desire to recover from drug addiction. The service excludes medication as an intervention and provides a total abstinence based recovery programme with an emphasis on personal responsibility. Although not affiliated, Narcotics Anonymous meetings are a core component of the House programme.
Potential service users are given two assessments by separate staff members and the information is used to input to a holistic support plan which is formulated and implemented by their allocated key-worker after further consultation with the service user when resident

The programme incorporates:

  • One to One Support
  • Person Centred Counselling
  • Group Therapy & Drama Therapy
  • Relaxation & Mediation Groups
  • Physical Fitness

Inverclyde Adult Literacy’s provide expert support and tutoring for residents to address any gaps in their core skills (e.g. communications, numeracy and I.T.)
This alongside supported personal development including 12 step work all combine to empower each service user to deal with specific issues, manage emotions maturely and address the ‘Causes and Conditions’ behind their addiction.
