Family Support Service

Part of the Inverclyde Integrated Drug Services; Family Response Service

The Family Response Service provides advice, information, guidance, practical and emotional support to individuals who often experience adverse circumstances, anxiety & stress as a result of a family member’s ongoing or previous drug addiction.

SERVICE PROVISION is confidential and person centred, focusing on helping families return their attention on themselves and a “Family Recovery”;

This includes the following:

  • One-to-One support (home visits or meet in the community)
  • Drop-In service (Wed afternoons 1-3pm)
  • FOCUS group (evening group for support to family members Tues 5.30-7.15pm).
  • Children and Young Person’s support service (after school hours)
  • Grief therapy sessions.
  • Referrals to other services including the Carers Centre.
  • Use of free Leisure Passes.
  • Awareness sessions within secondary schools in Inverclyde.
  • “Drug proof your kids” a 6 session course facilitated in the community.
